Default Red Footwell Lighting and White Dome lighting?

Would this be possible? Ive noticed many times when people get the footwell lighting, that when they turn on their dome/map lights it's the same color. I dont think it would look too good if my dome/map lights were red. I want to just get red LED footwell lights to match my red and black seats, but only when the door opens. I also want to have the dome lights to be white LED when I want to turn it on to search for something in the car, etc.

I also dont want the footwell lights to turn on when I turn on my headlights as well as that just would not look good and would be a distraction while driving. I just want them to turn on when the door opens.

Should I just go white LED footwell and just forget about the red footwell?

Advice please, im a novice with all electrical installations.

The light color for your footwell don't have anything to do with the color of the dome light. I used the info in this link when I did mine

Did you go white LED for dome and red LED for footwell? Will it look strange having two colors? I dont think it would because they will be on at separate times. Im going to be putting black and red leather seats in my Z, so do you recommend I go red LED footwell and still go white LED dome? I dont want to go red on everything, red dome would look ricer.

Those orange footwell LEDs are mine, and this is what I have for a dome light (white with range mood LED):

Looks good to me, but I'm not so sure abut red and black seats. I'd probably go all black.

I have red and black leather seats. My dome lights are white led and footwell lights are blue. I don't see any issues with that.

what do you think of these floor mats to match the black and red seats? I got my my seats installed today, will post a picture later. Here are the floor mats. Right now i have nismo floor mats but one of them has a hole in it so looking to replace the mats, and found these red and black floor mats to match the seats. What you guys think? I also am looking at the red and black trunk mats. Link is below as well.
