Vertical door kits
A part of me really wants to look into installing one of these door kits. I wanted to pool together some opinions, tips, recommendations, warnings I should be paying attention to if I ever consider this.
Here's one thought: If I ever have to sell my Z, I wondering if a mod like that could/would hurt the resale value or would it be a must that I install the stock mounting back. (my plan is to keep all original parts if i can).
another thought: I saw one that apparently opens out horizontally quite a bit before it begins to turn upward. I think I might prefer that if it's not a universal feature.

Sure, they're pretty ricer.
But if you park a lot in the city, they can be nice for getting in and out of the vehicle. I had a friend who was a very successful DJ that put doors like this on his Volvo wagon. He was in and out of packed parking garages all the time. He did his research and made sure to get ones that opened up very close to 90 degrees and had counterweights to assist the door lifting up. I was quite impressed with the final product. It was very practical.
