Default Front grill removal 350Z

I just got off the phone with the dealership who is doing my ATI Procharger install....

I wanted them to remove the OEM front grill so I could easily install some PIAA driving lights.... and so it would show off the polished intercooler better.

They just informed me that the grill is integrated with the front bumper cover and cannot be removed. They said they have to cut the grill out. Is this true? I've never heard of this before. All those who have replaced their gfront grills with aftermarket ones, please advise...

Thanks in advance

you have to cut it out. Some aftermarket grilles like the Stillen go over the existing grille.

Which PIAA lights did you get?

I just bought some Hella FF50s, but haven't tried to fit yet (I think they'll fit OK).

Thanks
Stuart
