Default Windows tinted

Im thinking of getting my windows tinted and there is a local place that uses Diamond tint made by clearview. This good tint?

Im getting 35% on the sides and either 35% or 20% on the rear window. They said it would cost $180 (and if i wanted to another $30 if i wanted a warranty for just incase if i scratch it or someone breaks the window they will put new tint on)
That sound right ?

I called a place in cary that somoene recommended. They use ForumlaONE tint but they quoted me $250.. That stuff that much better?

Thanks for any info

man learn to tint yourself, it very easy, and you save over $100.00.......I did all five of my windows for about $25.00-$30.00.......just takes time and patience to do it right..........Go with 5% on the rear and 20% on the sides looks sweet. I have been tinting windows for all my life, but it is very easy with patience and $5.00 in the correct equipment, ---Fresh razor blade(S), squeggy, soapy water and hair dryer.

I wouldnt reccomend that to most... unless you like purple bubble tint. yeah you might be able to do it, but you might not.

Ive never heard of either of the tints, I think I have the 3m stuff. but thats expensive. what area are you in?

I paid 150 for my tint, and it was from a very reputable place with good tint(though I dont know what kind, others went before me and said it was good)

not for tint. not worth it.

This place provides a warranty on the tint if it gets scratched or if the window breaks. I like that. Ill take pictures of the car with the tint and my RS*R springs after its done and washed! :P

Thanks

i paid $200. I got 32% (its legal). Looks great (exactly what i wanted. Wouldnt want it darker. I bought the warranty so if i scratch it or if someone breaks my window. They retint that window for free.. I can take it any place thats an authorize Diamond tint seller to have it done. And its for a lifetime.

Ill be posting pictures tomorrow

Hencho and i had r's done at autogear in plainfield n.j. it cost 175.00. for all 5. we got 20 in the rear and 35% in the sides. i can not remember the brand of tint but it was good. they tinted my civics window 5 yrs ago and not one bubble or fade problem ever. the tint the use has some kind of titanium film on ot or something like that to protect it. one time i accidently used a spray bottle full of bleach to clean a window and nothing happened.. i would never pay over 200 for 5 windows.

awesome I got my car tinted there too...those guys do a really good job for a very reasonable price.

BTW when did you get it tinted? I was over at California Tint and they had a Chrome Silver sitting in the lot waiting to be tinted right before mines. The owner asked me if I wanted to wait to see how that Z looked like before making a decision with how dark I wanted to go. I declined and just went 28% all around a la their 745 bmw.
