I have recently purchased a 2002 Nissan 350z Japanese import.
The satnaz/tv is Japanese and I was wondering if this can be converted to UK spec?

I'm going to guess the only economical way would be to find a UK-market wrecked car and swap the parts over. It might just be the software on the DVD, but I'm doubtful of that. Also, be aware that the system, even when it was new, was not very good, and it's certainly MUCH worse now at 16 years old. Why not just buy a new headunit with nav, or remove the system and install a standalone nav unit in its place, as I did:
