Default halogen to led on an '04 350z

If I switch my new led lights to 6 pin what functions will i lose if any at all. I know the old lights have a separate bulb for brights, but the new ones are a single bulb that moves up and down instead. Will the brights still work if i go from 8 pin to 6?

Are you talking about Base model halogens to LED or do you mean HID? I ask because your description sounds more like Bi-Xenon HID where the shutter moves, not the bulb itself.

Or easier to ask, are you currently 6-pin halogen or 8-pin HID?

Please tell me you didn't get suckered into buying aftermarket LED headlights? If so, I hope you paid with a credit card and can send them back.

I've seen some that aren't "bad"(I run a 30w? led in my snowmobile and it works slightly better than the 55w halogen), but a 35w HID in an actual projector housing still is much much better

No, not for driving on the street. You must take ino consideration the beam pattern, horizontal cutoff, and glare to oncoming drivers, etc. If a light source, be it a filament, LED, or HID capsule, is used with a reflector or projector not specifically designed for it, the system doesn't work. The light source must be in the precise position and orientation. We're talking about bulb "conversions". but I think the OP is talking about an entire headlight assmebly, made by some half-assed company in China, and not designed with anything in mind except cheap production cost and "interesting" appearance. None, and I mean none, of those aftermarket lights are better than even the base OEM halogen units, and most are significantly worse.

There are only two upgrade choises for 350Z headlights. The OEM '06 BiXenon's, or the reps made by DEPO.

Lol, I technically don't have the OEM 06+ but I like mine better than Nissan's any day of the week as mine don't have the annoying yellow bulb cover =) They still are made by the same company as OEM.

Wellllll, there's a great "debate" on whether Taiwan is part of China or instead, a separate country.

Why is that germane to this thread?

DEPO headlights are designed and built there.
