Ok, SluggoZ - you need to get your marbles in line. I REFUSE to get involved in DRAMA or even have to EXPLAIN MYSELF to everyone on this forum to help back myself up.

OH! with the 14 e-mails you sent me. I responded back to you on the 3rd e-mail off of my PDA telling you I am, and will be away from my computer on business for quite some time and that I will not have access to my e-mail. When I got back in town, I tried to follow up with you on where you were in the project.

I stated to you that if you can keep me updated on how everything is going, that would be great. . . I have no connections, nor do I have any machine shop skills to help assist in this project, so I don't know why you are trying to shoot me down infront of everyone.

Since you were not keeping anyone updated on this Thread, and Gringott decided to take a step up and say that he was going to try as well. . . . I put my offer on the table to buy his work merely to see how he did it. I was going to send YOU the emblem I bought so you could have something to physically base everything off of.

HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT I CAN'T BE TRUSTED? WE NEVER HAD ANY DEAL OR ARRANGEMENT ON ANYTHING!

To everyone that reads this thread. . . I apologize for the DRAMA that has gotten started. I am sticking to this 100% with ANYONE who is willing to STEP UP and follow-through with this project and not take everythign so personal.

Nice to see you back, a lot of people have been waiting for you and this project (as you can tell by the posts). can you give us an update on the status from your end, or are you totally out of the project at this point. I am not asking to be a jerk, I really wanted to get them from you and have been very very very patient in doing so, but if you are NOT going to pursue it, we need to know, so we can move forward with someone else. If you still plan on doing it, that is great just let us know, and I will wait patiently some more. I guess what I am saying is, if NOTHING is being done on anyones end at this point, a lot of people are waiting for something that is not even being worked on and we need to know what to do at this point.

rodH...and to everyone on this thread. I sent earlier today an e-mail to Terminator and I also attached my "in VAIN" proposal for everyone on this thread. How it was to be started, the cost and etc. Sorry to say I definitely dropped this project. Also if I may say so....At first it was very exciting even though I put a lot of time, money and effort plus I finally found the process on how it can be accomplished! That was very satisfying. Ok, so since SluggoZ is not offically out of this project eventhough he found out how it can be done. . . . lets move forward.

I will start making calls to people I know locally that MAY be able to handle this task, but no promises as of yet. I haven't contacted them yet becuase of the talk on this Thread on the people who were going to do this.

I'll keep everyone updated.

 

So, let me get this straight, one person pissed you off and you dropped the project without letting the rest of us know who have been patiently waiting "in vain"???? You act like someone was so disloyal to you, yet think of all the people who have been waiting for you on this and have remained loyal??

I guess feelings are now hurt and it is time to drop it and move on.

Who else wants to get this thing going again, I know a lot of people are now waiting for something that has been dropped and they don't even know it yet.

I think he said he "dropped this project", which means he is NOT proceeding with it.

 

RodH - I am going to take a few leaps to see if the people I know locally would be interested, because whoever takes on this project can definatly make some money.

And with SluggoZ and the phrase "someone was being disloyal" - if that's me, as you read from my previous long Drama content post, I was not disloyal. As you can see. . . I am still wanting to prusue this.

 

Well, I'm still in! Sorry to see all the drama though. Hope everything works out and someone can develop a very nice product for us.

 

As we all can see, there are still a lot of people who are willing to wait to purchase the emblem. Now that the air has been cleared and we all know that it is not presently being worked on, maybe Webiteks can find someone who will try and make us all happy and the producer a nice paycheck.

If you are unsure, maybe you can start another thread and get a poll. At least you will know if it's worth your trouble.

 

OK it let's put all the "drama" aside and accomplish something here.

To SluggoZ: You have a lot of people who didn't move on and have waited for quite some time on any info from you about this project. You have obviously put some thought into this and now have the knowledge on how to go about making this thing. If possible could we get past conflicting personalities and move forward with the manufacturing of this emblem? I mean there's money to be made here and why let someone else do it after you have put what I'm assuming is a lot of work into this? There's a lot of people interested in this, a lot of people who have waited and are counting on you, just look at all the replies. If this is something you may consider doing please let us know along with costs so you can sort out who's really interested. You'll then be able to see if this is financially worth it to you. Personally I'd like to see these things being made by you, you've been a part of the project from the beginning but as you can imagine, we can't wait forever and eventually someone else will take this project on.

Please let us know if you want to financially make this leap and gain profit. I'm still willing to pay what it takes to turn this concept into a reality. There isn't 14 pages to this thread for nothing. The demand is huge. Not only on this website, but now that you see just from my350z members, the demand is there. . .you can turn around and sell them on e-bay like water I bet.

I'm not backing down. I'm staying in this until the end.

This is the first time I have chirped in on this thread, but I have been watching it for a while now. I am very intrested in these emblems for my Z. I have a concern that I am not sure anyone has thought about. . . trademark. I am sure Nissan has the "Z" TM as well as the emblem shape. If one person is gooing to produce and then sell these emblems, I think there could be some legal problems. My thought is that there needs to be a cost made known per unit and then everyone chips in to pay for the manfacturing of XX number of emblems. I know this may seem silly, if someone is "selling" unlicenced trademark items, Nissan may take legal action on that person. Just a thought. and maybe someone knows more about this then I do. But, I am still very intrested and will be watching the progress.

Welcome to one heck of a thread we have going on! SluggoZ mentioned to me a while back that the trademark is no problem at all. . . if you look at the Z logo, the three dots are not down the center of it (thus making it not the OFFICAL "Z" emblem) the dots are spaced apart on the sides of the Z. I think this is why this emblem was designed like this. Just my ideas though.

First we need to focus on who would like to take on this task. I got in touch with the local guys I knew and they didn't have time at all to take on this project due to them already being backed up on their work as it is :-(

Hopefully someone will find this thread that wants a project :-)

 

good idea mc350z! I'll wait until someone is up for the project for just being able to machine this fine emblem, and go from there. Since the emblem everyone is wanting so bad doesn't have the three dots in the middle of the Z - then we should not have any problems at all.

I'm sorry to anyone that I may have led on about this emblem thing. I had PM'd SluggoZ a month ago with my concerns on this. I'm not interested in being the "middle man" on this deal. If anyone is interested in getting these made with the company I was speaking with, please do so. You can contact them at their web site, www.emblemart.com . I'm just not interested in making anyone upset about this, and I just dont' think that the demand is there for a 500 quantity batch. I don't exactly know what SluggoZ had meant in his previous messages about me, but I just want to clear the air and let everyone know that i'm not trying to compete with him or profit from my fellow Z owners. sorry if this is message is shaking things up again, but this is the first time i've been on the site in a long time.
