Default Sources for 05 Carbon Fiber Waterfall?

So not too long ago I managed to screw up the bottom of my center console around the shifter. I was using an alcohol dampened rag to wipe the window and set it down to grab something. I picked it back up and thought "is this dirt?" Nope, I apparently had the strong stuff and it instantly ate away at the center console's paint.

I know that sanding and repainting using quality paint is always an option, but i was considering doing a carbon fiber touch to create a nice focal point. I have seen older threads regarding Apsis, RSW, And Evo-R. I have been unable to locate any APSIS or RSW pieces, only Evo-R, but it does not come with the lower area around the shifter. Evo-R seems to have poor customer service from what I have found during my research.

Does anyone have recommendations on other companies who still manufacture carbon fiber waterfalls for the 03-05 Zs or know where I can pick up the lower portion of it?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, paint or buy new. It sucks but the CF stuff is dead unfortunately. I was trying to do the same and ended up ordering new stuff because EvoR is a mixed bag, Apsis from what I've heard has a bad rep and RSW only sells RHD stuff now.

I was afraid of that. I will probably end up painting it With something more durable. I'd hate to get another OEM console given how poor quality the surface finish usually is. I would consider it if I found one for a good price and tested doing a wrap on it .

Thanks for the reply, DarkZ03

No problem, it sucks man, I'm 3 upper consoles in and the inflation is a ****. IMHO since you have an 05, I would try to wrap it in vinyl. I did mine and it wasn't bad overall but the 06+ lower is not vinyl friendly, 3m has a vinyl that looks a lot like OEM texture which is what I used. There is also hydro dipping if you can live with that.

I like that. I think I may tinker a bit with 3D CF wrap. I love how the waterfall in this thread came out. Looks just like what I was after, but at 1/10 of the overall price.

As a follow up...

Managed to find a company that offers the CF waterfall for the 03-05 Z. I think I am still going to try my hand at a wrap first to see if I can get the same effect, but will probably look into buying one of these if I do not succeed.

As a follow up to your follow up, I'd use extreme caution with these folks. I had a pretty terrible experience with them, I bought a set of their carbon sills. Got no communication from them what so ever, asked for an update multiple times and nothing, then out of the blue I get a package from China with the sills but they weren't covers, looked like crap and had terrible fitment, no way to mount either. Contacted them again and nothing, I had to get PayPal to intervene to get my money back.
