What trim level car? Everything above Base has HID/8-Pin connection. (If unsure/unknown, use the VIN Decoder)

Barring that.... when you turn on your headlights for the first time, do they go full bright instantly or do they take a second to gradually come to full intensity? (Like turning a dimmer switch). Latter is HID

Barring that.... when you take the bulb out, what kind is it? H7 halogen or D2S/R HID?

im not sure, my headlights are kind of broken and only the driver side one really lights up, i have i have to push the headlight switch forward for the light to be visible, and my car have the 8 pin connector, also i think my 350z is the enthusiast since it has the cruise control and TCS

I gave you three ways to determine type of lights (and as a bonus, how to tell exactly what trim level you have).

But it sounds like you have more issues than just the headlights themselves. Or, possibly there's nothing wrong with them at all and all your issues are in the controls.
