Simply put, no, there is not. I would be suprised if the stock hood even weighed 10kg(22lbs). Every carbon fiber hood so far has lost 3-4 pounds at best, and some are even heavier. Weight is not to be saved in the hood. A member here bought Amuse front fenders to save weight, so there is an alternative to a hood if weight is your only concern. What is your main concern; weight loss or cosmetic gain, or what percentage combo of the two?

aren't the real cf hoods lighter than the stock hood? im not sure, but i would think it would be since its pure cf. im not talking about the $5-700 fiberglass with cf overlay hoods.

and cost like 2grand.

better ways to lose weight depending on your requirements. acrylic windows. lose the AC, power windows and locks. just to name a few things. not to mention CF doors, hatch ect.

CF doors would be huge. The doors are SO heavy... For starters, remove the rear wiper+wipermotor+weight from the rear hatch. Also get a lightweight battery. Do you have lightweight wheels? They make a HUGE difference in acceleration/braking. What about removing the spare tire/jack/crap from the back?

i did have a light weight battery already....and for light weight wheels...i have a track, so it should be covered...and spare tire/jack/ will be removed on track dayz!
the rear wiper+wipermotor will be a good suggestion..but how much weight will i save from that?
anybody know?

I haven't removed any of it, but if I HAD to guess, I'd think somewhere around the 20 pound region for the motor+wiperassembly+weight...

so what's the weight of Wicked4u2c's CF hood? im digging it and will be getting one, if it's not too heavy. if it's heavier than stock, then forget it. but if it's lighter, heck yeah! it doesnt have to be a lot lighter, just as long as it's not heavier than stock.

If you really wanna save weight, Amuse makes dry carbon fenders, doors, and a rear hatch for the Z...but it costs a pretty penny
