Default Sat Nav Swap ??

Hi,

I currently have the original Japanese Sat Nav in my '03 350z and somebody has very kindly offered to swap me for their UK version Sat Nav, (screen, dials and dvd box).

Question is, is it a case of doing a straight swap and the sat nav works or is there more too it ??

Thanks,

The answer is likely nobody has attempted such a swap and cannot express an opinion. My question is, do you live in the UK (as that's where the DVD-based map system will function)?

Not sure why anyone still wants an in dash nav sys. I'd rather spend the money on a Car Play double DIN and have at it through Waze or other online (always up to date and with alternate routing). Matter of fact, when I get back from home #2 (in a couple weeks), will begin the search to replace the JVC that took a dump in my car. Stinks. Still plays and such but the display is FUBAR.
