Yeah… I was sweating opening up the box. Luckily it made the trip from Japan in awesome shape. I’m just going to paint it the color of the car (K23). I was thinking of painting the vents black but I feel it will stand out too much.
Man that paint job looks great! I'll bet you are a bit excited eh?
I’m extremely excited Blue! I’ve wanted this hood for over 6 years. I hope the paint match is on point as I’m not blending into the fenders and front bumper. The paint shop took digital readings so I’m hoping the technology works.
The MCR hood was installed yesterday and I’m extremely happy with the end result. I started my exterior build back in 2012 and this hood was always on my list. At the time I couldn’t justify the cost. Fast forward almost 10 years and I finally feel the job is complete.
Didn't think I'd like it on your car. I was wrong, looks amazing!
Thanks for the great feedback!
I’m not going to lie… I was thinking it may look too aggressive. That said, I’m blown away how good this hood looks. It’s really exceeded my expectations. I feel it balances the front with the rear Nismo V3 wing.
Your car looks like a real beauty! Like said above, the paint looks like a very fine job and I think yes it does add to the entire look of the car. Have you noticed any heatwaves rising out of those vents when you are sitting at light?

thanks Blue! Your Z is a head turner.
Too be honest, I haven’t driven it much as it’s starting to get colder in the North. She’s going into winter hibernation in a couple of weeks.
Looking forward to seeing some heatwaves next spring. Speaking of vents I’m cleaning up the engine bay so when you look through the vents you get a little pop of colour.
