Default Aftermarket Steeringwheel Experience?

I am in search of an aftermarket steering wheel, and I really like this one: https://scgarageworks.com/product/35...teering-wheel/ but there arent any reviews, and the trustpilot website is very mixed. I would like to keep the controls I have for stereo and cruise control and love the look of this wheel. Does anyone have good experience or good suggestions with something thats similar? If so please drop a link and pictures if you have them.

f your vechile is old where it does not come with an airbag 100 percent go for it. For example my 72 chevy c20 cam with an old massive plastic steering wheel that hindered turns because it would be right but against my thighs and the thing was a boat to turn corners with but after a new steering wheel with quick release it fixed that problem entirely and made it a more enjoyable driving experience plus a new safety feature being a quick release. (Considering it never came with a airbag to begin with).

Remember that the smaller the steering wheel, the heavier the steering gets as you'll have less leverage turning the steering column. Also, I really don't recommend an aftermarket wheel on a car with airbags. Even if you properly bypass the driver's frontal airbag so that the others will deploy in a collision, you're still putting yourself at risk. Seat belts are designed to stretch slightly after the pretensioners take up the slack. Airbags are designed to deploy only when they absolutely have to, so if you crash and it goes off, it is preventing you from hitting the steering wheel.

That looks like a nice wheel and the OEM airbag will plug into it. I don't think a 350Z is worth that high of a price for a wheel, though. You can get it off your old steering wheel with a couple of hex bolts as I recall. I replaced mine with a sparco with suede. If you won't be driving it much on the street, then you could go this route. GK tech offers a bracket for the OEM steering wheel controls.

I have one of the modified OEM flat bottom Z steering wheels in my '03 track model. The CF wrap looks great and offers a different texture from the leather grip section. The "grip" section offers a secure handle right at the 9 and 3 sections of the wheel to offer maximum control and flexibility for your hands. I purchased mine off the classifieds section of this site almost seven years ago and still consider it money well spent. As for other vendors with better reputations, I lack any suggestions

I like mine, it's not from them tho.
Wheels from credible sources are around $750 and it's not too much for one IMO.
Cheap wheels without airbags are a no go for me, nobody is immune to crashes, not worth saving a few bucks over.
Also, anything carbon fiber is expensive by nature.
