Default Sparco>Bride- Why? Because Sparco's in The Fast and the Furious, of course

I love the type of people that use brand names to judge. Just because some names were featured in movies like The Fast and the Furious, people automatically think they're good. An example is Bride vs. Sparco. Ignorant parties automatically think that Sparco is superior because they don't know what Bride is. They don't realize that it's like comparing filet mignon to spam. I pity the ignorant.

actually truth be told, both Sparco and Bride are top tier companies.

Sparco is used in many many forms of motorsports worldwide, and has been for a long time.

Bride is used in many forms of racing in Japan...most notably, many of the JGTC cars.

You really cannot go wrong with either one - Bride being a bit more exclusive.

It's true that Sparco has some good seats, but I'm saying that in general, people think that they're so much better just because they've heard the name- but we all know that name recognition plays a huge part in everything.

Sparco is a more "popular" brand. Not necessarily because the movie, but because when most people think of a racing seat, they think "sparco" because it's more available to the general public. Bride like Z1 said, is just more exclusive.

Franky speaking... the reason that everyone has Sparco and even Recaro is that they are much more affordable than Bride.

In terms of racing Sparco and Recaro are prevalent in almost every type of motorsport racing. Bride is like Z1 performance mentioned more of a Japanese Racing seat.

Whether you choose one or another it's like shoes some people like Nikes, Addidas, or Reebok.

And there are some folks that like no-name branded stuff.

If I was on a strict budget I would get Recaro SRD and pray for brackets that will fit. But I could not pass up the deal I have on these Bride Ergo2s.

Jpizzle is ignoring your question, I don't think he even knows the difference from Sparco and Bride...

psssh- one says sparco and one says bride

IMO, Bride puts a lot more work and quality into their seats. Sparco is trying to put out a lot of seats to accomidate the demand, while Bride puts more effort and attention into each seat made. Also, Bride are wickedly light and pretty =]. (I don't know if what I said is true, but it's my opinion)

I like Sparco, cheaper and gets the job done. Lotta people buy Bride just cause it's JDM. I could careless.

they honestly are in the same class...many are very close pricewise, and even Sparco has a few seats that get remarkably pricey

Looks like marketing has got the best of you Not bashing on your opinion its just interesting how you base your opinion on 0% facts when you have not visited either company and don't know all the quality control BS each company has... I personally like both companies each has a certain purpose, it seems BRIDE is pushing a lot on the drifting Auto X as Sparco is more Road Race/Rally. I personally like RECARO for the OEM styling yet also race seats...

Im a sucker for suade... And the Sparco Milanos get the job done. If Brides were reasonable, I would get them.

If you guys only knew the truth behind seats (as well as many other parts in this industry)...those in manufacturing know exactly what I am talking about.

As for Bride vs Milano's, they are basically the same price for each (at least in terms of Bride Brix and Ergo's, which are their reclinable seats)

Adam,

Care to tell us who actually makes the Tenzo seats?

I, for one, would be very interested in knowing who makes which seats for each company.

It reminds me of a time not too long ago in the computer industry, when all the tubes for monitors were made by ~3 companies.

JPizzle,

Like Wicked said, it sounds like you have fallen for the hype as well. Just not the movie hype. Sparcos are good enough for the Enzo... (yeah, yeah, I know $8k a piece yada, yada)

If it comes down to one company vs another... it comes down to personal preference.

I bet most of the owners here will say huh spend 2000 grand on seats... my stock seats are fine.

Picking which seat is best comes down to how much exclusivity you want and how much you want people to drool over your car.
