Tims Brick Track w/Bat's overlays
It does dim the back up lights some, gives them a totally different look though. The blinkers look awesome when they are on. As far as installing, if you are not a patient person then go to a tint shop and let them install, very tedious but well worth it. It took me about an two hours to do mine and then I did a friend of mines in about an hour and a half. Dr. Bonz it would look awesome on your car especially with the Nismo Body Kit. I am probably going to do the yellow/amber headlight overlays, will post pictures when done.
My order has been sent. I'm going with the smoked front sidemarkers (I have the three LED's in mine so I'm hoping that will good good), the smoked brake light overlays, and the smoked reverse lights on the rear bumper.
Why does it take so long to install? Don't you just peel off the backing and stick them on? Do you have to cut them at all? Can you give me any tips on install and any BEWARES for me to watch out for?
Thanks

Lining them up is easy. You just dip the vinyl in warm soapy water, shake of the excess and apply. Once you push the majority of the water out from underneath the vinyl it sticks enough so you can really work out the air bubbles.
The hardest part is laying down the vinyl over a curvy area because the vinyl doesnt want to just conform to the curves.
Wrinkles show at first which you have to split up and spread out with your finger. If you dont you will have a nasty crease, which I did on the first attempt.
I was not patient and I rushed the first job, so i bought another set. There is no reason for anyone else to go through this.
Just start the job with patience and make sure you have at least a couple hours free.
Also make sure after you think you have the piece on well that you look very closely for air bubbles and get them out ASAP. Otherwise they are there to stay. If you make sure you dont seal down the outer edges first and work the water and soap out from the middle to the outside, you wont have a problem.
Gluck all, and I'll shoot for more pics soon!
Thanks BAT!!!

It is not just a peel and apply. I recently received a set of these from BBat and could not get them to apply correctly. I followed the instructions included to the letter... cleaned lights... used warm soapy water to apply... smoothed out bubbles... used pin to ***** small air hole to remove troublesome air bubbles... squeegy to smooth and remove water...
With all this, I still could not get the second piece to wrap over the curve of the taillight correctly.
Don't get me wrong... I still think this is a quality mod and looks great. But if you don't have experience with applying tint, you definitely want to get someone who does to help you with it or install them for you.
I have a small amount of experience and after 2 hours of patient work, still managed to screw up one half of my overlays. Probably will order another set (they are pretty cheap) and just take them to the local tint shop and have them put them on.
I did some reading on other threads and it sounds like it is "peel and apply". Is this correct? In other words, it's like applying a sticker?

I had to use a heat gun on the smaller piece on tail light to get some of the wrinkles out, I did not try to the split technique that Andy refers to but it would probably work a whole lot better by applying this technique.
i wonder if taking it to a tint shop will even help...noone has more patience to do work on a car than the car owner themselves....the person that did my tints was amazing but tinting windows is prob not hard cause they dont have all the curves...im sure the secret to installing bats overlays is obviously patience..but also..4 hands are better than 2...the reason why people need to heat them up is cause they can curve better on the lights...but if you had someone pulling at each end while you smoothed them out over the curves it should be that hard...i look forward to doing mine with my dad next week
before bat came along i had to cut my own turn signal tints out of a big piece...granted the turn signal is the easiest to do but bat makes it pretty simple cause he does the measuring and cutting for us
Well, when I mess up, we should do something wherein you send the overlays the same day I send the money. That way I don't have to wait as long.
BTW, Did you get my money order yet?

Tim that wing looks amazing!!! Is it a direct fit or is there some modifying to get it to fit correctly? If you could PM me any info that would be appreciated becuase that is one of the cleanest looking wings I have seen on a Z!!! Very very nice!
