Default Stock Looking Gauge Pod!

A member here has this gauge pod. This is the best looking pod I've seen to date. Does anyone know how to get a hold of cWeSt`z33 about this pod? He has never posted here so a PM probably won't work.

Thanks for any info.

Hi Doc,

Yeah, the guy lives in Singapore. I was hoping I could track down the maker of the pod and see if the have or will make a US version. If this pans out I think there would be a lot of interest in a stock looking gauge pod. Notice the texture matches the stock materials.

I'd be interested to hear what you find. I haven't come across a RHD pod known to fit the 350Z.

*Oops, sorry about that. I misread the post. Sorry... couldn't resist talking about DEFI gauges. [drools]*

That's a nice looking gauge pod...

Hey, this guy is my pal from the Z Owners Group in Singapore. He actually got his Z's original A pillar cover remoulded to fit the gauges.

3kgto,

It looks real nice the texture looks stock. This is exactly what I am looking for. Do you have any idea who did the work or if the company sells these regularly? I imagine this was a one time deal for his car?

Any info you can provide would be great!

Thanks
Jeff

Jeff,
Nay, the company that did the job don't sell the parts, they simply carried out the job on the owner's request.

If I did not remember wrongly, they used 2 universal type single gauge pods, trimmed down the edges to flush nicely with the A pillar cover. Attached on and wrapped, glued the whole piece with the textured PVC, fake leather kind of material that those car audio shop guys use for custom DIN panels or woofer boxes.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Tristan

Tristan,

Thanks for the info. That does help. I have fabricated a gauge pod on my pillar and it looks real good so far. I just don't have the finish done yet. I didn't like the look of painting it so the pod has been sitting around un-done for a while.

I'll check around locally for some of that fake leather stuff and see if I can wrap my pod or maybe find some shop that could wrap it for me.

Thanks a lot.

Jeff
