This is normal for most of BMW tuning, these people arent stupid or havent a clue what there doing, thats just the price you pay. Hell if you can afford an e46 M3, then you can afford the good mods, and having an intake manifold a la CSL then go for it.

It's like a out of the box toy with no assembly required, batteries included. Just play.

Not worth modding a E46 M3. It's really not for the tuning enthusiast. Even if they've got the money to blow, they'd be so much better off starting with something else. Anyone who spends that much for an intake, regardless of financial status, is just being stupid.

Yea, that sounds about right, but for supercharger systems. Race Marque Systems (RMS) sells a stage II supercharger with install for the E39 M5 for $22,500. For the E46 M3, kit and install is $17,500. The M5 comes up to 608hp and the M3 503hp.

Most of the components for the E46 M3 aren't adding too much to the bottom line, even the CF system displayed above by Delage Sport. The intake, engine and exhaust are very, very well designed. There is a supercharger that is being produced for the S52 or is it S54 by Active AutoWerke, but everyone is wondering how long such a high-compression engine would last. I think it was going to be priced well below the RMS system.

Here are some price for comparison. Came off Brabus price guide for Mercedes S Class.

Brabus Brake System Version I with 15" 6 piston capilers (front only) - $10,562
Brabus Brake System Version IV with 12 piston calipers 15" front and 4 piston 14" rear - $17,900
Brabus performance kit increase 45 HP for SL55 - $13,500
Brabus enlarged displacement 6.3L V12 630HP, 737lb-ft torque - $49,950

People who buy these product are not stupid, these are price they have to pay for their car. We're lucky that our parts are not too expensive.

That's just sad...I can't believe they actually have customers. Renntech is almost as bad, but 12 piston calipers, d@mn!!!
