Who has installed Nismo wing?
I bought a Nismo replica wing recently and i was thinking i could install it myself. It looks like it might screw in, but I'm not sure if i should be drilling holes into the car myself. I was thinking maybe i should use really heavy duty double stick tape, i mean i got the wing for only $160, might as well not cause a lot of damage to the car when it might be cheaper to remove later on if i went with a different spoiler. So how did you guys install? I know TONS of guys have this spoiler.
Also did you paint the spoiler first, then install it, or install it, then paint?
Thanks,
Alex
P.S. If you double stick taped, which brand/strength did you use?

yeah i assumed id paint before install, actually it was a stupid question. There are parts on the wing that would be too hard to paint if it was already attached. But this double stick tape thing seems like an excellent idea to me, the really heavy duty kind Should hold perfectly, but was hoping for some feedback on this.

I had mine installed with screws, but I already had the holes from the stock wing so I just had to drill 2 more holes. The wing is pretty heavy and I am not sure if the tape will do over a longer period of time, also the replica wings don't fit perfectly so the screws were needed to bring the wing down to meet the hatch the tape will not do this for you.

I bet it LOOKS like it fits perfectly, until its actually being attached to the car. Mine also had minor fitment issues.
It is screwed to the car. I did NOT have the guts to drill into my rear deck. I had a quality shop paint and install my replica.

Exactly it may look like it fits until you go to install it, the main issues with mine were with the base towards the middle mainly in the front since you cannot push down on it withthe posts that area will have to be perfectly flush with hatch for you not to need screws.
