There is an aircraft supply company in Corona, CA (http://www.aircraftspruce.com/home.php) that sells inflaible lumbar bladders. They come with a little squeeze bulb like a blood pressure cuff and fit underneath of the seat covering. I've had them in my Z and MPV for over a year now and they work great. you position them exactly where you want them and adjust the air pressure any time. Cost was less than $50 per unit.

I am 6 feet tall and 240 lbs, and this little thing was a GODSEND! The best $50 I've spent on my Z.

I got mine yesterday, and installed it (if you can call it that). I unzipped the back of my seat and dropped it into the back between the seat and a metal panel on the bottom the seat. I routed the rubber line to the side pocket on the left hand side of the seat, zipped the back of the seat, and voila! LUMBAR SUPPORT.

I'm a rather wide guy, around 240 lbs, and the stock cloth seats are too snug for me around the rib cage and shoulder blades. Do you guys think this inflatable lumbar support would help to ease my pain?
Will it work on cloth seats?

You can find them online for as cheap as $20 now. See http://www.wisdomandhealth.com/chinlusu.html for example....

Opening an old post, because it is too good to bury.
Opened the back of my seat today to see what was in there to support some additional lumbar support. Because I am (a) cheap, and (b) demand instant gratification, I decided to fold a small towel to fit the dimensions of the metal brace at the bottom of the seat back. It ended up being about an inch thick, and was held in place nicely, by the foam. With the upholstery back in place, the seat looks the same as it did. I figured I had wasted my time, until I sat in it. The lower back support is perfect. I may not order the bladder now.
