Default Street Scene Grille Installation

as just about everyone knows, the search function is down.

Question is, does the front bumper have to come off in order to install the street scene grille?

It doesnt help that the USPS bent it en route.

Thanks

it is not necessary to remove the bumper, but it is a lot easier with it off. i took mine for the install.

hmm...yeah i dont think I'm so comfortable with taking it off myself. I'll have to get someone to do it.

If I (or someone) DOESNT take the bumper off, then I would have to get under the car to be able to clip on the clips, right?

it wasnt so hard... i am trying to remember how we did it on my friends car. we tried reaching through the hole by where the hood latch is from the top, but we were unsuccessful. it was too tight a squeeze for us.

i think what we ended up doing was partially removing the front bumper. it isnt as hard as it seems. too bad you dont live in hawaii or i would offer you a hand.

if you dont take off the bumper, then if you have small arms, you can reach in from that top area and the bottom i guess. it is a tight squeeze though. also, we didnt use all the clips. i think it came with 15, we only used 8.

there was no way to secure the two ends because there arent any open holes for the clips to secure on in those areas.... ok rambling now.

edit: but yeah, if you dont remove the bumper, you would need to get underneath the car, so you at least need to remove the cover plate under the car.
