You need a long phillips head screwdriver. here is a little gear to the inside and back of the light case. It's hard to describe. A flashligt also helps, even in the daytime.

Your manual illustrates this pretty well too...
You're not looking for a phillips nut or anything like that...it's just a little hole with a spinning disk that has big teeth. Kind of like a sprocket. A 10'' phillips will do fine with turning that disc.
Make sure you're staring at a wall with the headlamps on when you do this. Just an inch of adjustment can mean a huge difference!
For kicks I turned it up all the way and drove around the block at 3 in the morning. My headlights were pointing into people's bedroom windows. It has a very wide range of adjustability.

Some screw drivers are too thick to go down the shaft or two thin to spin the gears. So you kind of have to find the right one. I used a (labled on grip): "683-366 R HD" Husky if that helps. I'm sure theres not much science too it but this particular phillips worked perfect.

I did this before this thread even started... and noticed that my headlights are now higher but they seem weaker... anyone else notice that ? If they point higher, they seem to have less of a range for some reason.
