Front license plate in windshield legal (NJ)?
Subject says it all. I'm sick of the plate on the front, but don't need more reasons to get pulled over. Can I do this legally? Please no responses telling me to do it no matter what; illegal tint is bad enough, not to mention how noticeable the car already is to cops.
Well that answers that question.
I didn't drill myself, but when I bought my car in august, the car showed up like that (brought from another dealer
) I would have to have the front shaved I guess, which isn't worth the money most likely (and those plastic plugs are pretty ugly, imo). How much to shave the front bumper?

The plates must be on the front and rear most part of the car. All those people with plates in their windshield are just as illegal as those without front plates.
I've only had one problem with no front plate in Northern NJ. I carry it around in my trunk all dirty. I just make up an excuse as to why it's not on at the moment.
"I just had the car serviced... they needed to remove the bumper. i have an appointment to have it mounted again next week."
"I just had the dealership put on this fantastic new teflon coating. I have to wait a couple of days for it to cure properly..."
