Question Turn signal bulbs

Anyone have those silver looking turn signal bulbs that are silver when off, but light up amber when on? Just wondering if these things really work. They look cool, but do the really work???

Or you can buy rust-oleum in Pep Boys and paint your existing turn signals silver and they will still light up amber. The only problem with it is you have to be good at spray painting it or you will get uneven spots on the bulb. I ended up getting the evo style chrome turn signals after having bad luck with the rust-oleum thing.

That design isn't cheap.... i'll be doing the same as well.

Hey Brian, I'll be connecting them in series. I hope my
caculations are right.... else it's $50 down the drain for
just 1 bulb!!!!

I gotta paint them silver though. :-)

there on there, 7440 size.

I have 2 series of 2 in parralel. but all in series would work too. I tried it like that though, it was causing problems having the pos and neg right next to each other, the heatsink was in the way too.

I use the raybrigs, the work great a little on the pricy side but they look perfect and you don't get darkening effect you get on some cheaper bulbs, had them for 4 months now w/ no complaints.

Just ordered the EVOstyle bulbs. Looks like they are the only ones that are 21W like the stock ones instead of 27W which from what I've read may cause damage from the extra heat.

Z-CRUZN, they must have been out of stock or just been extremely busy. I know a bunch of the forum members and myself got the bulbs in relatively short time periods. I was surprised at their turn around times when some people posted paying for the bulbs and then receiving them only a few days later. They have been a very helpful group of people, so if any questions or concerns you can always count on them to help you out. Best of luck

Yes, I heard only positive things about evostyle - good service, quality bulbs, etc. Was just a little surprised when it took several e-mails (4) to get a reply back after asking about when my order was shipped and then finding out that it finally shipped out 5 days after the order was placed. Probably just a matter of supply or being busy.........

Please send upclose-pics (front and rear). I'm very interested in getting them! Does anyone know a decent place that sells an orange strip, like the one beside the main headlights, which will light up entirely? Thanks!

Well, I got my bulbs on Friday, 2 days after I ordered them. I installed them yesterday, and they look awsome. I'll take some pics later today and post them.
