Clear bra for aftermarket front end?
Well, theres a couple things wring with my front bumper.
1st thing is that I got backed into, and had the bumper fixed, I then had to go on vacation and did not have time to clear bra it again. Sooo my bumper is now covered in rock chips in needs to be repainted.
2nd problem is, I had the front badge shaved and you can still see where it was. I decided to just get a new bumper, but I am thining of going aftermarket. ( Vertex )
But if I can not get a clear bra on the new bumper, I will just go stock. I can't deal with rock chips and my car is a daily driver.
Thanks for your help.

Either that, or others with shaved badges. Where did you have your bumper shaved and how did it come out? If you know where to have it done in the San Jose bay area, and it comes out PERFECT, then I'd like to know where to do it.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
here is my with shaved emblem, and clear bra on it.
I did notice there is a very little imperfection where the emblem used to be. My painter told me the paint was too strong it actually ate through the filling a little. But you won't notice until you get about 2 feet away from it. But I think I might get it re-done after a while, depends if I'm going to keep the OEM bumper or not.
Oh, and if you look around, you should be able to find people that use the plotter to pre-cut the kit for the clear bra, then you should be able to tell them to modify it so it will fill the hole up where the emblem is. It probably took about 2 second on the computer. Click and delete!

im making a similar dec. right now, I have the veilside v1 lip and was thinking about shaving off the hamburger and just getting it all repainted and cleared but i started thinknig for the money id rather just get the vertex front..cept i kno if i get the front im gonna go for the whole kit which i love and its gonna be costly =/. ill decide by summer. Either way will look nice
Yeah I have decided to keep my shaved front bumper and get the veilside CF lip.
I too love the Vertex kit ( still think about it sometimes ) However, the rear piece makes the Z look like it is wearing a skirt ( like a dress skirt ) IMO. In which case I would get the Ings + 1 N spec rear end ( not the half kit rear )
I think that combo would match up nicely.
And I should have specified, I knew I could get the clear bra on the OEM bumper with shaved badge. Just on a bumper like the Vertex front is what I was/am worried about. That would require a compleat custom job.
