Default Another Reason for a Clear Bra

The first major damage occurred to my Z tonight. We have one of those 1 piece wooden garage doors and after backing my car out of the garage to get into the rafters, she closed the garage door on my hood.

My clear bra took the entire blow. No paint damage and only minor scuffing to the bra. Even though no one would notice this, I'm **** enough to get the piece changed out, but first I'm gonna give it a few days to see if the scuff marks fade. Any ideas how to accomplish this?

Possibly take some rubbing compound and buff it out? or maybe even wax? I would try that before you start wet sand it.

Probably worth checking with clear bra installers/manufacturer (3M bra?) to see what they recommend and to check that none of intended products will chemically attack the bra. Then...

Wax/polish if that doesn't work
Glass polish if that doesn't work
Metal polish if that doesn't work
T-Cut/Rubbing compound if that doesn't work

etc

Stuart

p.s. I don't have a clear bra, I'm just going by approach I've used on other plastics/paint finishes.

I recommend trying Vinyl Polish ( the stuff that is used for rear covertible windows).
Polish the hell out of it. don`t know but it might work.
