I drilled & tapped the factory bolt holes to accept the eye bolts. It took about 10 minutes

Alright, I got it done. I bought 4 Sparco Harness Reinforcement Plates ($2 each).

Bend 2 of them in 90 degrees, drilled a hold to bolt thu the seating bolts. Then bolt on fisheye onto the plates...

For the shoulder belts, I just mount them onto the factory speaker frames. Heres it with out the cover...

30 min job. Im happy now...

Sorry, my camera sucks...spent all my money on you know where.

If you ever go racing in SCCA, I don't know if they'd approve that. But works for now!

I guarantee they will not allow it... thats why I had the bar made so that I could bolt it to the frame... I mean it works great for drivin around everyday ( not the safest) but any track will decline... do it right the first time.... I would only suggest this if you arent going to the track but then again why would you have harnesses then...

Humm, they will not allow it because of how it is mounted or because of the belt? I hate the harness bar...it totally blocks the rear view. Maybe Ill have a bar made that sits lower, but til then, its all good for now.

BTW Mr B, how bout local drifting events? will they allow it?

" I hate the harness bar...it totally blocks the rear view."

I don't know your height, but my harness bar (mounted straight across between the OEM shoulder belt bolts) doesn't block the rear view AT ALL! It appears below the rear strut bar when viewed through the rear view mirror.

Now, the view out the RR quarter window is reduced by about 1/2.

Using the sub bracket as a mount is strongly not recommended. The shoulder belts should be mounted less than 10 degrees from horizontal to prevent spinal compression in a crash.

Good luck!

what about under the rear carpet right behind the seat? there is a threaded hole already on mine. that way the belt goes over the divider behind the seat and almost horizontally through the headrest?

i ordered a sparco 3-point and i was planning to use that hole.
