******* Bumper Plugs!!!
I just got my stainless steel air guide from StrictlyZ. I figured it would be a 5 minute install, but boy was I wrong! Those 6 bumper plug things on the top of the bumper are SOOOOO hard to get off. I was pulling hard as hell with my working gloves. I tried twisting and turning them but the just wouldn't come out. About 45 minutes later, I have 5 badly damager plugs, 1 destroyed plug and a sore hand. I ordered some more plugs because I knew I was gonna destroy all of them for the Injen Intake install.
IS THERE ANY ALTERNATIVE TO THE BUMPER PLUGS!

Those plug are not too hard to remove...all you need is a small minus screw driver...... flip the center part upward a little (not all the way).....then pull the entire plug by the outter edge (may have to use the minus screw driver).....wish I've pictures to show you....but don't force them...you'll only break them if you do....

I had the same problem at first. Lil bastards were really hard to remove UNTIL someone gave me some advice.
Pop the tab on plug and pull the locking-plug part upward just a little. Not all the way up so that the plug moves no more. With the center plug up just a bit the whole bumper plug just lifts out. Good luck and I like my SS air guide also.

sorry that you damaged all your plugs. they are VERY easy to remove them once you follow what everyone here said. they slip right out.
just order more. they are quite cheap.

I did the same for one side of the bumper when installing EVO-R lights. I managed to get 2 out of 3 plugs out easily. The one by the headlight was so fricken hard to remove for some reason. I had the center locking tab up, and that's it. It wouldn't come out. After breaking half of it, I managed to pull it out with great force.
It's still a pain, but they were easy to put back in.
BTW... how much do they cost?

Got mine from the dealership...sold in bags of five at $.85 each.
RIP but needed some quick, after the plug has been removed/replaced several times it seems to lose some of its' holding properties. Got technique, lack skill.
