thinking of putting these 280 vents on my hood, to go with the old school 240-280z bump in the middle.

Eh, only way I could see that being nice is if you install it perfectly, then paint them the pearl white to match.

Wouldn't be all that bad looking if you paint them the same color as the car.

Personally, I think the chrome is a bit too "Blingy". But if you like the look, then screw what we all say!

As others have said, I think that it would look cool if it matched the color of the car instead.

I dont know 2003z, the vents look like it should be on an older style car. They just dont go with the flow of the car, now if you vent the hood more like the veilside v2 or v3 style it will look bad a$$. Or vent it like the dodge viper style hoods. Just some ideas for you It will look good what ever you do because your car looks sweet anyway, unless you get a 4' wing ..

well, we decided against them. They would have been the same color as the car, SS, and glassed in, but it would be too much work and would have to cut the support beams for the hood underneath.

The original idea is because the stillen hood bulge resembles the 240-280z hood, and I had those 280 hood grills left over from a previous project.

I think it could be done nicely, but not this time.

Beat me to the punch. Those do not look right.

how about making your own though. Like the ones on the AAson martin Vanquish.

Do two small vents flanking the power buldge. cut holes then mold the edges so they narrow , but are smooth and rounded. Then put in mesh underneath and Voila!

Check out the ones that come on a factory 00-Up Jaguar XKR, they look really good and they are not to expensive to buy. But you are probalbly trying to stick with Z parts, just a thought though.
