Question 3M Scotchguard film

Does anyone know what width the 3M paint protection film comes in? I've seen 350Z's with the hood done to about the rear of the headlight assemblies, but dealers keep saying 12" of hood protection. Seems to me it's more than 12" from the lip of the hood, especially when wrapping around the lip is added in.

I'm want to have the front facia 100% covered and as much of the hood protected as possible, but I don't want a 'quilt' of plastic visible. Can it be done in larger segments than 12"?

Thanks!

Bob

Found my answer on the 3M site and confirmed there are dealers still installing the 6 mil non-UV coated product as "the latest from 3M". Perhaps, but the 8 mil is MUCH more expensive here in Canada.
