I just received the ings+1 half replica kit from 350zforums.com

It is at the body shop right now cuz there is a bunch of prep work the you need to do. I am a little disappointed cuz the fiberglass rear bumper is real thin..I hope I do not get tapped in the rear!

Also, my problem with these guys at 350forums is that they yes you to death but when I got my kit the freakin rear bumper is the initial D rear and the skirts, and front lip is the INGS+1 kit!!??

So I will let you know buyer beware with them and I will let EVERYONE know how the fitment is. I should find out after the holiday. It should be painted and installed by next week.

This is the kit I want...can anyone advise.....first hand...or close second hand knowledge....if this kit is good quality and relatively easy to paint and prep?

These things are big and bulky, and returning them after fitting them is just not an option for me. Please advise...I really like this kit...no wings... I've been dreaming of how my FMIC will look wrapped inside that front bumper.

Like most...I am not willing to pay 3-4K for a body kit, and wait for months...

well GQ (soon to be east coast genius) I went against my better judgement and ordered the ings full kit replica made by VIS.

I hope i dont get screwed !!! It seems this kit was made with a giant intercooler in mind my thoughts exactly.

Believe me i think I am the guinne pig for this kit so for the good of all mankind i will post pics and a description of fitment and any prepwork required so that all may either reap the rewards or avoid it like the black plauge.

as the VIS kit was 500 bucks cheaper than the Iitial D kit i was very sceptical but i was assured by VIS themselves that the quality is great and hand laid fiberglass made in japan blah blah and so on, so the mooch in me that rarely shows its ugly head got the better of me and i ordered it as i backed my 350 into a chain link fence last week and it was just to ugly to look at it like that anymore.

You get what you pay for!!!!

I hope I dont have to tell my self that but we will see should get it wed-fri next week.

 

WCG...keep us posted. Maybe I'll order the INGS Initial D kit and compare the quality as well.....who knows.

750 + 130 shipping to colorado directly from VIS which is in cali of course so if i have good luck that may be the way to go as you might be able to just go pick it up!

I was 2 miliseconds away from ordering the Initial D body kit but when i called 350zforums to order I got a message at 1:30 PM mountain time WTF!!! so then i called VIS directly and talked to them for a while and pulled the trigger. They said the mold is exact and hand laid firber glass and the kit comes imported from japan.....hmmmm sounds too cheap oh well i guess ill see!

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! my heart skiped when i was looking at the pictures of the VIS kit i noticed the hole in the front bumper was on the wrong side!!!!!!!

Anyway i called VIS and they assured me that the hole is on the drivers side like its supposed to be for american cars!!

WWWHHHEEEEWWW!!!!

The cars in japan must have the intake on the other side of the car !!!

Anyway i should get it tuesday at the latest as it has shipped two days ago!

 

DId the parts come in a black color like that one guy with the orange Z who put them out wihtout painting? Can't wait to hear an update cuz I'm thinking about getting the Ings HALF kit replica too.

 

No it came white cuz the whole kit is fiberglass.. I believe the one the guy from NJ got was urethane

 

Did you try a test fit when you got it? Did they fit horribly without any prep? I want the Greddy skirts but sick of waiting for them.
