It does sound much, I'm sure if you look around more you can find a better price or you can just tell them that you found a better deal and make up a little cheaper price then they ask for and ask them to beat that price.

Hmmm... I was quoted $1,900 for a front bumper, side skirts, rear piece, fiberglass prep, paint and install. That's probably too much, eh?

depends how much prep was involved. but that does sound a bit high. if the peice was in absolutely horrid condition with waves everywhere, then it might be fair. but itd have to be pretty bad....

Well, I'll demand perfection then. Someone recommended the place here, and it's right around the corner from my house (which is convenient). Maybe once the pieces come in (I'm shipping them directly to the shop) I'll go there and take a look at them and see if it's clean enough to negotiate a discount.

Maybe they priced it high expecting a disaster.

You might get a bit better price somewhere else, but if it's right around the corner from your house, the hassle factor might offset the price difference.

Certainly, as I already have to sneak the car out of the garage and get it back, heh. Unfortunately, it's around the corner, but it's a lonnnnng corner.

I did ask them about rolling the fenders and he didn't seem to know what I meant. Maybe that's just the look he gave me, I don't know. I didn't get the impression they did it.

The price sounds good actually.

Im having a lip, wing, sides and front bumper reapainted done for a couple hundred dollars more.

Ill pay because they do a flawless work and use good paint.

$600 is a good deal especially if they have a rep of doing good work.

Good paint jobs are not cheap and cheap paint jobs are not good.

That my advise and I know from experience of having show cars.

red6 is right..and judging from your product list they are authentic and not replica...therefor they really shouldnt need so much prep work

good price IMO....some shops quote 500 just to paint front bumper

"Good paint jobs are not cheap and cheap paint jobs are not good."

couldnt agree more

To be honest, I have less of a clue of what I want than when I started. I do not need nor really want fat tires. I just want it to look good. From what I can tell, the GT-C rims would look better in 20" with the body work, so maybe instead of 9.5/10.5 I could get 8.5/9.5 and some decent sized tires with springs if it needed it (which I assume it will just a bit -no slammed look) and the fenders wouldn't need to be rolled and it would still look good. I've gotten some different opinons on the matter and it's driving me insane as I'd like to get them soon.
