There may be a TSB that would cover what you are describing...

Chicken is correct. Take it to your dealer and tell them you want this Techinal Service Bulletin work done. They will replace your cloth seat covers with a heavier duty cloth for free.

Do they replace both covers or only the affected side.

More or less. Never hurts to jot down the info or print it out and go in there with your problem. It's not a new TSB, so in theory everyone will know about it.

They SHOULD know about it but I'd print out the document posted above and take it just in case.

my dealer only replaced the seat backs, and not the cusion seat covers.. also, they said they only replace the worn out seat cover, and not complete... it depends on your dealership..

Anyone have this problem with the leather seats? Mine is all torn up and scratched on the left bolster that you end up sliding across when entering and exiting the car. Seems like they should have used a stronger leather or repostioned bolsters. I have 10k miles and my seat looks terrible.

My experience with this went well.

I went in yesterday and complained about it, and they said they would replace the effected covers. THat turned out to be the drivers side bottom, and headrest, and the passenger side bottom and headrest. I dont know how the headrest got messed up but where the seem's are there are a lot of little pulls in the fabric. I then continued with my complaint and said that I dont want the seats looking mismatched meaning I didnt want part of the entire seat to be new, and the rest to look used and old. Well after pushing a bit they placed an order for two entire new seat covers. Should be in around mid next week and put in the car.

Once this is done its off to get the cheaply painted front bumper and hood repainted.

While the dealer was replacing my Heater Core, I inquired about my drivers side seat wearing the exact same place as the one pictured above. I only have 3495 miles.

The service rep said there was no TSB on this and it is NOT covered under warranty.

Typical Nissan Service!

I wonder if the dealer replaces this, can they replace it with leather and I will pay the difference?

For those that had this replaced, who replaced it?

If it is a local seat upholsteryshop, then I might have a chance getting leather and paying the difference.

I seriously doubt they'll do that. But they should do the cloth replacement. It IS a TSB despite what they told you!

Honestly I don't remember where I got that one from. Could have been a forum, web site, not sure. I cropped it to fit in the post. The original is actually a full page, and there's another page that describes the fix procedure, etc. If anyone wants the two pages, just PM me your email address and I'll shoot 'em to you.

I originally had both driver and passenger side (seat backs) replaced around March, but noticed the headrest and the passenger side bottom seat cover is wearing out now.. so I took the car to different dealer, and they agree to replace just the worn out covers... the only cover I have left is the driver side seat bottom.. it's the most "sitted" seat and it's not wearing out like the others.. so no wear, no replace! I only have 1000miles left on my 36k warranty

I would like to know this as well. My leather is starting to crack on the driver's seat at about 13k miles (even with me applying leather conditioner to the seat about once every 2 months).
