Don't powdercoat them! They're plastic. Paint them.

i was going to ask how you can powdercoat plastic. I think that the handles would look amazing if you paint them silverstone. Keep us updated.

I dont think youd get it around all the curves(or else bat wouldnt have painted his )

powdercoating has to bond to the metal. which is clearly impossible )

i would say you would have to go through the door panels....

so first rip the door panel off and then go from there

This is the page from the manual. I seem to remember someone mentioning that you just needed to remove the two bolts holding the handle on (see step 7 and 3rd picture). If you need help removing the door "finisher" (aka door panel) in step 1, just let me know and I can post that page. Good luck.

I have an 04, its plastic. I have been looking to get mine painted as well. They are really the only thing that kind of bugs me looks-wise on the car.

i plan on doing mine a little darker (i will have black wheels)

i opened the door and realized that those 2 black rubber fillers just need to be pulled out and the bolts are exposed

im hesitant to take them out though because i dont wanna screw anything up nor do i wanna drop the bolt down in the door (THAT WOULD SUCK)

anyone that took these off....once you unscrew the 2 screws does it just come off?

Did you paint them yourself or take them somewhere?
