Lightbulb More Work for Bat

Bat:

I have more work for you.

Thought that an overlay to cut out that big expanse of red plastic on the taillight would give the rear end a whole new look. Some may say Porscheist.

This is not my car, so I apologoze to the owner. I took a picture that was the easiest to photoshop so that you could see what I talking about.

Let me know.

Thanks.

I like it, but it does look a little Porscheist.

Does everyone like those big pieces of "real" plastic????

There are two areas, in my opinion, the Nissan really blew it.

1. The headlights
2. The taillights.

The proportions of the car are great and almost classic in detail. But then they go for that retro look on a car that is not retro, but classic.

Taillights are functional design elements, and not decorative.

Look at every car that has been sighted for design excellence. These vehicles do not rely on giant taillights to fill unused sheet metal.

But that's MHO.

I bet if Bat does the overlay, you will see people buying if not for anything else than making their rides take on a more conservative or custom look.

i think that if nissan "blew it" anywhere, it was the lack of higher quality materials on the inside, even though i like our interior. the headlights and taillights rock, the only thing i might change is the amber strip up front.

i think our tail lights and headlights rock as well. IMO the rear of the Z is the best looking rear of any car to date almost.

I agree with you totaly. I also wish that Nissan made the ENTIRE rear tail light light up when you turn on the light, not just half of it.

Funny, I think the taillights are one of the best design features of the Z33. They are so unique and they flow extremely well with the lines of the car.

I want my car to look like a Z, not a porsche.

use any automotive trim restorer and it will get back to life

mine was turning gray and i wiped some Stoners "more shine less time"

did it a month ago and its still black

the product is for tires,,,they have "Trim shine" but some say its exactly the same so i just used the tire shine on it

..as for the overlay, its not bad...but i think the Z's taillight is the coolest part of the car

im gonna have to say no. i dont think that design does anything for the styling aspect of the Z. makes it look like a Lexus SC430 as far as the shape of the taillight.

::thumbs down::

I think it's alittle too much. I can do something, but alittle more subtle. In fact, I've seen the covers that make the taillights look thinner, not sure who makes 'em. Perhaps someone can post a pic of what I'm talking about.
