Default What spoiler is this, I want it

Everytime I see a magazine with a Z on the front I just have to buy it. Well I saw the new Road & Track with Nissan's Secret Z and it is freakin awesome, I love it. I really like the front end and especially the spoiler. Can someone tell me what and where I can get this spoiler, I must have it

Also, very interesting article if you haven't had a chance to read it yet.

Not going to get it... unless someone makes a knock off.

That's part of the Nissan speciality deal. Basically if you want ANY of those parts you have to provide a VIN showing you own the car, and that they are for repair.

Sucks.

I seriously doubt that Nissan will bring the Type E here. They made that car for JGTC regulations (car has to be within something like 10% of production model specifics).

Anyway, even they article you linked to said there were only 5 made, and all were spoken for. And if they only made 5, I doubt they would go into mass production to sell the aero parts. Just my $0.02. Hope I'm wrong though.

However, it is pretty close to the Veilside V2 wing:

I have that magazine and have read the article, but the is one thing that I didn't. The Type E only has 300 bhp with all the NISMO parts on it, cams, intake, exhaust, etc. Well the normal Z has 287 bhp and the NISMO exhaust claims to give 9 bhp, that's 296. Where's the rest of the power going? That seems to be alot of motor work and other bolt ons for just 13 hp. Doesn't make sense.

its the "Nismo Fairlady Z S-Tune GT Specifications"

To what I understand that means it has the nismo s-tune products... exaust, intake, suspension... not the cams or headers or anything. That makes the 13 hp figure a little more realistic, but still for that much extra money, id expect more than that.

Plus it looks f'ed up and f'ugly IMHO (side and back view). Honestly, I've seen the racing kits with longer noses and backs (and they look absolutely great, such as the ones on page 3 of the article linked above), and although the front (head on) view looks better, I wouldn't want that thing. I'm sure many will disagree, but it's just my opinion.

No, if you read the article it says it has the cams, headers and also bottom end work done to it. If it was just the S-tune items I would understand the 13 HP increase. They also said the redline was bumped up to 7200 from 6500.

maybe they were stating horse power at the wheels. then 300 whp seems more reasonable.

That's exactly what I thought also when I first read the article, but I looked at it again and it says 300 BHP, unless they misprinted it.

It's 0-60 times is exactly the same as the track model at 5.8. According to the article it states where the S-Tune GT differs from its stocker counterparts are high-speed stability an top speed which is capable of "much higher speeds" unrestricted. Also, in the 120-plus- mph range, the S-Tune GT is a different animal all together.

But still, this car would cost $60,000 according to the article, maybe it's just me but I don't think they got there moneys worth
