Default Driverside Window Roll up/down Problem

Well, Nissan will pick up the cost of the parts in the neighborhood of $300 and I will pick up the labor cost of about $120. I have the window roll up/down failure and I'm past 36,000 miles. So, I think it's fair that they're picking up the cost of parts and that I contribute to the job.

Kudos to Nissan and to my service director who deserves another bottle of good tequilla.

tell them to goodwill it I work for a Nissan Dealership in the parts dept. and we do that for our good customers. Kinda sounds like they already did...but just a thought.

But that is not a bad deal at all by the way it may take a while to get your Regulators or window motor in for your car. Lately they have been taking me about 1-2 weeks to get in for us.

Yep, that's exactly what they did, they goodwilled it. The part is in stock and I'm having it installed tomorrow. Yay! Man, I can't tell you what a pain it is for garage entrys that require cards or tickets. And, especially so if you're a smoker.

Recently had mine replaced (both driver and passenger) at 21,000 miles. Will these keep failing or should it be good from now on?

You got a good deal there.

I just had mine replaced at 16K miles.I hope that it won't break again but I've read that some people had their's replaced 3-4 times. I just hope my dealership will be gracious enough if it breaks again.

My driver side just went at 8700 miles.

Sounds like Nissan has a real problem with these....so much so that they can't keep the dealers supplied with stock. Is this a problem inherent to the Z, or does the G35 and other NIssan have issues as well?

I would go ahead and have them replace it, it's not going to get better. During the time that I was waiting for my regulators to came in, my windows would work off and on. There would be times when I can't get the windows up and have to fiddle with it until it does, finally I stopped rolling them down.

my g35 would roll half way back down whenever i rolled it up on the passenger side. sold it with that, the guy never complained, maybe it went away upon leaving my hands.

they said they can't fix it if there's no problem... it started working by the time i brought it in, and i'm too busy to drop everything and go to the dealer whenever it doesn't work

my driver side is out completely, cant get anything done to it due to a union strike of all the area service departments. good thing i picked up the extended warranty, they have been on strike for 2 months, and my 36k is just around the corner.

I guess you just have to wait until it completely fails on you.
