Nismo body kit & suspension (from Performance Nissan) installed...
Just got the Nismo suspension, Nismo side skirts & rear unders installed Friday. The front lip will be installed next weekend. The suspension will lower the Z 3/4 - 7/8" after it settles in a few weeks - right now it's dropped an 1/8" in the 2 days it's been on. The difference in handling was immediate after install - a little stiffer (what I wanted), no more body lean or nose diving - pretty cool feeling! If you were going to track your Z, I would recommend an adjustable setup - Tein, for example - but for me as a daily driver, the Nismo kit is perfect - improved steering response, a little more firm ride, and a subtle drop that keeps the alignment issue in check. The install was pretty straight forward - simple bolt off, bolt on. The book time is approx. 4.2 hours, but my tech had it done in 2 hours. You need to align the car both after install & after 3-4 weeks (after it settles).
As for the Nismo side skirts & rear unders, again a pretty straight forward install - the side skirts were a piece of cake. The rear unders & the front lip (when it is installed next weekend) takes a little more guts - gotta drill a few oblong holes in both the front & rear bumpers (yikes!). After making sure the enclosed template is taped on correctly, it is pretty simple. Was torn between 2 pretty subtle kits - Nismo & Veilside - but decided to go for the Nismo due to the great prices Perfromance Nissan is offering (Thanks Jason & Jeff!!).
Here's a couple shots for now. Will post more next weekend after the front lip goes on. Gonna keep the OEM Niisan rear spoiler on - I like the "low-slung" effect - seems to compliment the lower look the aeros add.
