Default Since everyone here is so open with their opinions...let er fly...

So my car is in the body shop since I kissed a tree a couple weeks back...don't ask. Anyway, I'm putting on a Veilside ver. 1 lip, and a rear spoiler...am waiting to see what new side skirts come out after SEMA....but my question is this: Since I'm paying the booth time to paint the front bumper anyway...I'm going to have them fill the little dimples where the license plate bracket normally goes...AND am considering having them fill the Nissan emblem indentation also...and forgo the "identification". Wanted to get peoples opinion if this would clean up the front a little and give a real subtle custom or if this is a foolish thought? Truthfully only Z enthusiasts would ever notice...but I guess I'm thinking it would clean up the front of the car a bit. Alright...everyone can throw their two cents worth in...........

The front is too bland without a logo, maybe stick on a Z logo?

I love it without the emblem. might like a Z emblem; but honestly; due to the hamburger shape of the stock emblem; I havent seen a Z emblem that I really liked.

Shave the Emblem and fill in the Dimples. Much cleaner look and a subtle custom touch

So far I think shaved and filled is winning. I actually like the idea...and if I ever want something up there I could go with just about any Z emblem over the smooth bumper...that way I don't have the hamburger indentation to deal with underneath. Any suggestions or links to quality "Z" emblems you guys think I should consider? Probably go shaved and clean...but always worth looking at what's out there.

get the Z emblem from the "fairlady Z" or "350z" badge

if you go w/ the JDM look, you could stick the "fairlady" letters on the back (since you'll still have your 350z emblem) and use the Z for the front bumper

I've seen this in person and it looks great.. at the risk of sounding cheesy... it makes it seem like a special fairlady 350z model

Gotta link to what you are referring? I see the "Z" emblem that would fit nicely in place of the Nissan emblem if I left the hamburger indentation.

I'm not sure I know what you are suggesting...guess my hang up was mostly with the "Nissan" badge. Don't mind the "Z" badge. Other's opinions?

350Z Chromed Emblem (1)
Price: $38.00

this looks like a blob if u dont know what ur looking for.. it is infact bulkier than the nissan hamburger bc it is completely filled. and it is still a hamburger, just a z hamburger. some people dont understand this.

shaved look on the back is great. i took out the 350z emblem and it makes my car look much more symetrical and pleasing, i think.

I am a fan of the clean look so nothing up front is my leaning. It is your car, you paid for it so do what makes you feel good.

Hey Jeff,
Knew I'd bump into you if I spent enough time here. Think I'm still leaning toward shaved and filled. Will send you an email outside forum...good to hear from you. Anyone wants to still vote..I'm listening.

Driven, I know you well enough to know you really do your research before doing something which is much like myself. I guess that partially explains why I have not jumpted into FI yet. I cant wait to see the final product after you get the car out of the body shop, post pics ok.

Yeah...problem is...research or not, taste is fickle. Even my own changes from day to day. Guess that's why I like Holloween...the wife looks like someone else's! Speaking of which...It's a bit off topic...but if I could just get my pics posted here, I'd ask about people's opinion on her too. She's thinking of going from blonde to red? Not sure what I think...says she can't just switch back if I don't like...too much stress on the hair? Anyway...if I figure out posting pics on here maybe I'll throw that in the mix for opinions. Keep up the voting...so far shaved is winning...on the car! Not the wife!

Shave it...the V1 lip is being molded into my front bumper now, as well as the emblem being shaved.

Redheads ...nice.
