Default Bat's rear taillight overlays....NOT easy to fit after all

Bat's overlays are a b***h to fit, from my experience.... hairdryer is a must.

I thought I'd let other members know, and who are thinking of getting them.

One thing I didn't like about him was: he charged me $10 to ship them to me in the United Kingdom and when they arrived the stamps were adding up to NO MORE than $2, possibly less.
Also, since one of the overlays has come out fairly bad... bubbly etc I asked him if he would be so KIND to send me a replacement one, he never even answered my 3-4 PMs, I guess customer service is not his strenght, after all....

Bat, enjoy your extra $8 you made on my shipping, I'll make sure all members of www.350ZUk.com know this.......

If they came out poorly its because YOU did not put them on correctly. Perhaps you were not polite enough when requesting new overlays.
IF you are voliatile enough to try to slam a guys business after him missing 3 to 4 PMs on from this site then maybe I should forgive you for jumping to conclusions.
Keep the following in mind.

#1 He runs this business alone

#2 Perhaps he is on Holiday

#3 Perhaps he does not check his MY350Z .com account daily.
Try his e-mail dude!!

At least talk with the guy before you try to bad mouth his business.

I thought people from the UK had manners?

They ARE difficult to apply but with a hairdryer and some patience they turn out well. Are you whining about $8.00? Come on! Shipping to the UK HAD to cost him more than 2 dollars! Even if it did, isn't his time worth anything? Give him a break man.

it's the principle that matters....... + the non willingness to help AFTER the sale.... just letting other people know anyway, that's all.

My pms were all read, according to the tracking on the PM page, so I can only assume he's ignoring them.

Of course it's my fault that one has not come out correctly, that's why I asked him POLITELY, if he would be so nice to help me out.... he sent the stuff in an ordinary large envelope, and the stamps were adding the the amount I quoted before. I just don't usderstand why people would want to make money on postage?

I have not badmouthed anyone, just reporting my experience up to now.... that's all(first pm sent was at least 10 days ago....)

And yes I am polite, and no I'm not english....

Who sad you are English???? Maybe you are Scottish. Or Finnish. Perhaps from BAngladesh.
Who cares. Maybe you should get an answer before you try to badmouth someone.

if he doesn't answer me it's quite hard to get to speak to someone.... you got any suggestions?

ok fair point that comment might have sounded harsh, it wasn't meant to be, was only meant to be sarcastic. I tried to edit it after, it wouldnt let me.... mods feel free to delete it. Still I don't understand why people would want to try and make money on postage... that's lame, as you guys would say. And don't even say "insurance, packaging etc " coz no insurance was purchased, the overlays were sent in a very normal A4 envelope.
I guess I should have just played dumb when one light came out bad, and asked him to resend the lot. Instead I actually posted quite a good review of it on the Uk forum, and posted a link to his site..... then asked for a goodwill gesture off him.... lesson learnt.

I guess it was asking too much....

Fisrt off I apologize for not responding to your inititail pms. And from checking my pm box, I received only 1 since you got your order. People that know me know that customer service is always priority when it comes to business. I admit, there are times when it does take a bit longer to answer my pms only because I reply to my Emails first since I make Overlays for 14 other cars as well, and I get an average of 75 emails a day! and I feel those are priority over pms. My email is in my SIG if you haven't noticed, you could have gone that route as well, most likely you would have gotten a reply much faster. You also have to remember, I have a full time job other than this one! As far as the $8 goes, it's for shipping and handling. It's hard to estimate costs to UK sometimes. There are times I get charged 6-8 dollars to ship there, depending on weight.

As far as 3-4 pms? I got only 1 additional since you received your order. The first one on Oct 5th you said:

"Hi there!

I wanted to thank you as the overlays have arrived yesterday and I have fitted them too! All was ok apart from the right rear taillight which has come out a bit dodgy LOL the rest has gone in no problems!

Am I being too cheeky asking you for an extra right rear tail light? I would really like to make that one as good as my left one, which went on with no problems!"

The 2nd one was sent on the 7th! I know this because I keep all my pms in my box until I've looked them over and taken care of whatever people wanted or requested. Both your pms are still in my box. I'm not trying to sound harsh, I'm a nice guy, but it ticks me off when people take stuff like this to public forum when it could have been taken care of privately. Why didn't you try emailing me regarding this matter? Most people who can't touch bases with me right away through pm email me.

EMAIL your request to me, and I'll send you a replacement piece FREE of charge. I want all my customers to be happy....

Bat™

I have always communicated to you via PM, even when buying the overlays, hence why I tried to contact you via Pm only. You were extremely quick in answering them, that's why i couldn't explain all this delay. In fact I tried PMing you via another forum too.

I appreciate the fact that you are busy, as everyone is, I guess.
Anyway, I will EMAIL you, then.

Thing is, though, I would hope you still would answer me even without me posting here.......

Thanks for your time.

Although your PM from Oct. 5th went unanswered 8 days later, you got a response in ~3 hours by posting a thread. Sometimes it takes the extra kick of a public post on a forum to get the fire started.

I agree. I got my overlays from lamin-x.com, but I had no problems at all with getting my friends overlays on his G35. Bat is awesome!

True, but he still could have emailed me first. I mean, my Email addy is in my SIG. I can see him starting a thread if emailing didn't work either.

One more Atta Boy for Bat. I have nearly every overlay he makes for the Z and his service has been EXCELLENT as are his products.

With how often this site has gone down the crapper, why would you rely on PM's here at all? Just use the e-mail dude!

I too have to defend Bat. He has always been willing to do whatever it takes to makes his customers happy. And being close enough to have met him i can say he is a great guy outside of his business dealings as well.
