"I am still going to use the amber lights for the JDM affect"

why do people say stupid things like this? whats JDM about amber? amber has been in use in the US, Europe, and Japan.. for AGES. There's nothing JDM about amber.

im sorry let me re fraise to some people the amber in the front is more of a jdm look when it comes to blacked out head light housing. Personaly I think the white bulbs cheapen the apearence of the car like the clear tail lights

Amber on black will look funky.

Chrome signal bulbs will look hot with a gloss black background.

No it's not. There's plenty of american cars here with blacked out headlights and amber still corners (ie, mustang).

I agree with you that white bulbs/reflectors make it look cheap on some cars... but somtimes it's done quite nice, like the white reflector strip on a g35coupe... but would making that strip amber mean ur going "jdm" no... because some cars, like old honda legends, had one piece lights or corner lights clear (with clear bulbs) in japan, where others, like civics had them amber... it depends on the application, just pls don't misuse the term and spread wrong ideas.

hndumafia I had it done at buckeye body shop in miami down the block from my shop guy charged me 50 bucks to do both. If someone could host the pics for me I could post them or shoot me ur email and Ill email you them. They kinda look like the race 350z head light im not sure what race 350z ive seen it on though.

dkny its always been my understanding amber was more common on the jdm market due to the high elevation of the mountain when they go drifting I e amber is seen better threw fog. but oh well learn somethin new every day

errrm from looking at the pics.....the "jdm" headlights and taillights are the exact same as our american versions.....hmmmmm so i would beleive that leaving the bulbs the same color would indeed keep the "jdm" effect.

It's like people selling the clear front reflectors and calling them jdm, hehehehe they aren't clear in japan , they are the same color...

Here you go:

Looks different. From what I can see, the low beam shouldn't be affected by the paint.
The high beam, on the other hand, looks like it might suffer some reflection (i'm assuming), have you tested it yet (if your high beams are bright enough?)
