IMO cheap CF hoods are just that... cheap. If you want a CF hood $500 to $600 is not expensive compared to Top Secret and Amuse. Seibon and VIS have decent prices and my Seibon was a perfect fit and quality was excellent.

i have the veilside v1 lip in fiberglass n it looks great n fits perfect but i wish it was cf so i could have the center cf to match my hood instead of black. I have a cf hood sitting in my garage at home but have not even seen it yet. I have to wait till thanksgicing weekend, hoping i wont be dissapointed. I payed 460 i think from the memeber who represents 350zforums.com, he says its high quality and fitment, from fiber dreams? i couldnt find anything about them, located in japan. We'll see, im just hoping for the best.

well, I'll say this much - there are VERY few genuine carbon hoods out there.....all are quite pricey. The ones you see in the 200-700 category are all carbon over fiberglass.

try www.importfan.com retail is $399 but they will do much less. Fittment is good, a few bubbles in the clear coat. Just barely lighter than the stock hood with the fiberglass, but you can remove it to make much lighter (must then use 4 hood pins).
hood pins are a must on any carbon/fiberglass hood no matter how great the quality is!
