Exclamation Installation of New Body Kit Pieces.

Sup guys?!

As some of you know I have an Ings half kit lip, rear valance and rear wing that need to go on. I intend to mold the lip and the rear valance into the existing body work to keep a stock look.

I received the Ings wing from unlimited tuning, and quality is first rate. Primered and reay to go.

I just received a huge box today with the lip and the rear bumper and the quality is great. After test fitting myself I realise prep work will be kept to a minimum. No primer but after test fitting the pieces I realise I lucked out with this replica kit.

So considering all thee factors (No major flaws to smooth out and extra work of molding the lip and rear valance) What can I expect to pay to have these pieces mounted?

Anyone who has had this work done before please chime in.
Please no SWAGs or "use the search feature dude!"
I need to get a good idea of how much I should pay so I dont get taken advantage of.

Thanks in Advance!

Julien, contact Ryan Hernandez at Westcoast Specialties. They do all my bodywork. Tell him I sent you. He'll set you up.

I paid ~$1,000 for 4 pieces painted and installed, with some extra work on one of the pieces, all pieces in very good condition (not much finishing needed at all). That said, you could probably pay $500 or $2,000 for the same basic work, and the $2,000 job might be better, or it might not. You just need to find a GOOD place, which charges a REASONABLE amount. Both terms are subjective.

I was very happy with the cost and job that my shop did. If you are in the L.A. area (southern L.A.) you might want to stop by and get a quote from them. Let me know.

LA= more shops, more competitive prices. Probably save a bunch if you're willing to go that far.

Down here in S.D. unless you know someone or have a good referral, they'll definitely crucify us.

This is probably why you see highschool kids rolling around for months in their mom's accord without their kits painted!

hmmm since you last saw it decades ago, just the v1 sideskirts to match the lip.
Finally jumping in the water for new wheels in a few days. Almost bought some volks SF's last week but I heard from a source that Iforge is getting a new line this coming week so I wanted to see how those looked like.

I heard once the wheels come on everything just snowballs.
I'll keep ya posted.

Coming to the tuesday night meets without wheels is like going to the prom without a dress. It's sad....
So I'll be around the moment they come on!

But yeah, I'll see what body work deals I can find and post it here. Might be getting a new spoiler then by the next year a completely new body look.

You got an everyday driver Jules? I figure the Z will be in the shop for awhile with all that custom molding, once you send her in.
