Default Nismo spoiler question

I thought of adding a nismo spoiler to my car. I have the oem spoiler now and was just wondering about the holes that are left in the hatch. Will these holes be expensive to patch up? I think there are 4 holes that I have heard. It seems like the nismo spoiler would cover up the two holes near the middle, but not the ones on the outside.

JDM one will cover the holes.
US one will not. A friend of mine bought the US one and I had to build the base up on it so it would cover the holes.
Go JDM.

I prefer the JDM over the Nismo. So the jdm will cover the inside holes right? I am assuming the outside holes will be exposed, does anyone have a picture of this?

This is the US version of the nismo wing, the one you will have problems with.

Can these holes left be used to install the jdm spoiler or will new holes have to be drilled?

You will have to drill extra holes to fit the new wing as well as useing the existing ones.

To be honest I would pay the extra and buy off one of the vendors on this site. At least that way you know where they are.

To get a real JDM NISMO wing your looking at around $1200 to $1500.

And as far as I know, the Stock wing only has two Bolts holding it on, And those holes get used when installing the NISMO wing(plus two more need to be drilled) Whether or not the holes from your oem wing will get used buy the US Spec NISMO wing, just depends on where the Port (or dealer) installed your OEM wing on your hatch. I have seen many Z's with the Oem wing in different places on the hatch.

I have a real JDM NISMO spoiler, complete with instructions that I can't read. I have seen many aftermarket ones that look just as nice and you can't really tell the difference. I don't like the US version. Performance ( mynismo.com ) used to sell the JDM wing replicas for a great price. I don't know about the holes and the US version, but my wing utilized the two factory holes for my OEM spoiler and I had to drill ( ughh ) two more holes to install the wing. I would assume that any aftermarket JDM replica would do the same as my spoiler.

Good Luck,
Steve

Wouldn't it depend on the hole positions?

OK....I see what you all are talking about. The two holes closest to the center and just above the NISSAN logo. You're right, they do come close. What I did is adjust the mounting holes on the outside and just scooted the spoiler back enougn for the tape to cover them. You can't tell at all when you look at my spoiler. No leaks in the latest Northern CA rain over the past couple of weeks either. You can make very minor adjustments to make the install easy. It took me a while to do this, but it worked.
