Default Preimum Membership (My Opinion) Chime in Please

It's sad forum owners charge the community for basic forum services. I personally believe the forum owners are loosing their touch with the community. I understand it's a business, but the vendors are the ones that should pay to support the site not the community. Remember the forum is nothing without the community....

My 2cents,
TxTitan

I agree, I was one of the lucky ones that got my membership free, and I tell you one thing, its not worth the $30 they charge.

I agree. I do not see the benefit in this membership. Each one of us gives back to the community by participating and responding to questions. Forum sponsors should be the ones that should support the forum monetary. Just my humble opinion.

It's not basic forum services. You still get a signature and they are supposedly working on a gallery that you can select an avatar from. (you won't have a custom avatar available though) You don't get to use the custom user title (I don't think?). You can still participate in GBs, you just can't post in the thread. I really don't see too many things that you are missing as a regular member from before.

I agree with you guy's on the fact that it probably isn't worth the money, I think the admins should have planned this out some more. Right now, the benefits don't seem too worth it IMO. I still say we should implement my plan that I posted about in the Mod forum a while back, Kyle...

I Second that Opinion. The Power of this forum is in it's members. Most here are truly knowledgeable, and are willing to share. Cripple their privileges and you've crippled the forum.

I agree with everyone here as well. Admins: Accept paypal donations, hell put a link up for it. But do not take privileges away from members

I could certainly live with a banner ad (no pop-ups).

how do you keep up with everything so fast. It was a very bad move taking you off of being a mod, you used to do a great job (some times even annoying, in a good way). Anyways is good to see that regardless, you still do a lot for this community.

Cable internet.

Thank you. I actually prefer not being a moderator now, too much stress. It's much easier to manage your own website, maybe because when I want things done I can get them done and I have control over what is what.

I am a member of some much larger sites than this one, and I've seen the search function thing that you're talking about in addition to five PM box limits, unable to upload images, and non-viewable subscribed threads (can't see which threads I've posted to before) as well for the non-paying members.
