Thumbs down Sig and Classified Restrictions = WEAK!

Sig restriction TOTALLY defeats the purpose of having a forum..
When people talk about their car specs, I immediately read their sig to see where there at in terms of modding. Now I'm in a dark and all the vital info that I need is wiped out.

I'm currently in the market for some aftermarket parts and there's no more classifed section. I've been reading this site for years with low post count. Even when I meet one of the 3 qualification, it'll still hurt the vendors and the modding community in general. Oh well, I guess it's not my place to say.. more forum rules I suppose..

I, personally, like the sig restrictions. It drives me nuts seeing a one line post then having to scroll past 18 lines of mods; worthless IMO....

Ummm, there is a classified section though. Click on MARKETPLACE at the very top of the forum, it'll take you to it as long as you meet at least one of the three requirements (which you do).

They get 1 line.

Premier members get 4 lines and a sig pic.

Many members have also complained about getting scammed. While we (and most people) subscribe to the "buyer beware" theory we also want to try and help protect our members. The Premier Members only restrictions were relaxed after listening to the input of forum members by putting some minimum requirements in place. We've tried to reach a happy medium by allowing the private classfieds to be used by established members. Obviously the potential for people to scam still exists but we're hoping to cutdown on the low post "register and scam" incidents.

You meet the requirements in both post count and member date so I'm not sure what the problem is.

In regards to listing mods in you signiture. You can create a cardomain.com page and list the url in your signiture.

I agree with you on all these restrictions are getting a little out of hand. It's like they are forcing you to become a premier member. I remember when I first join this forum I was able to change my avatar picture at will and my sig pic. Now look at us non-premier members getting pushed around. We lost the ability to put whatever picture we want as an avatar unless we already have one which I do, but I can't change it now or I will lose it. I use to have a sig pic and that ability was taking away, now we can only have 1 line signatures. Somethings about this forum is starting to get a little ridiculous. Seriously what gives *?* My350Z is probably the most popular 350z forum but yet there are so many restrictions that I see off this forum now. You don't see this same restrictions off of other forums. What's the whole purpose behind this *?*

It's a bummer that the potential of me selling my older mod to a newb is totally eliminated. I know a lot of gear heads from other forums come here (cuz of the huge market place) to purchase some deals too. Sig was a free advertisement for parts. I've always ask people people how they like a particular mod... hey southern info, how did you get 2 lines on your sig??

I just kept on typing and didn't hit enter when entering the sig for my mods. Just use either comma's, spaces, dashes but don't hit enter or change the size of the font. You can also use colors, good luck Bro!

Lets see you almost answered your own question

Most of the restrictions come Due to the amount of B.S. associated with the more traffic and members. Being popular has its price.
Think about it for awhile..

We have no intentions of making people become premier members, if you dont want to become one you dont have to be its that simple.
