Default Help me decide my 350Z

Hi Guys,
I am planning to get a used 2003 Nissan 350Z (Silver Alloy, Manual)Touring model with 28K miles on it from carmax( No Haggle) and they are quoting like $22,998 on it. Do you guys think that this is good deal as i have already paid like $150(Transferrable fee) and its on its way from Carmax in Kansas city to Memphis, TN location. After doing a background check(car history) at autocheck.com at carmax everything cameout to be good(interiors, exteriors, tyres etc..) So can i beleive them?? is carmax a reliable source?? And i was also planning to take extended waranty (6yrs/60K) for another $1500 for the same car. Do you suggest that??

At the same time i saw this ad online (private seller)who is selling his 2004 Nissan 350Z (silver Alloy, Manual) Touring model with only 20K miles on it for almost the same price $23,800 ( he might come down to $23,000) I even asked him why he was selling his car then his reply was they were building a new house and they wanted to buy a tractor by selling this car.( I am going to test drive it today or may be tommorow) he also said that his wife used to drive his 350Z but not him.

I need all your guys feedback of what should i take into consideration to decide the right car. Do u want to wait until i test drive both the cars.

Any help is appreciated.
(Note: carmax :2003 model, private seller :2004 model)

i bought my mustang from carmax, really regret it. your pretty much paying $24-$25 for a used 03 with 30k miles, not to mention how carmax rags on their cars. I was quoted $25,9 for a brand new 06 350z at my local nissan

praveen... listen to me.. pradeep... NEVER EVER RELY ON SPORTS CARS OR SUVS from car-max.. no joke.. when i was in nursing school and needed a car bad i bought an old school celica for $8k (around 48k miles). they claimed it passed all inspections and had a 3 year 36k mile warranty on it.. man when that shiz hit 72k it was awful as hell.. not even able to go 25k miles.. not to mention the fact that i had to replace the clutch about 4 months after i got it.. and on top of that.. my friend bought a used corvette there that had alighnemtn problems.... now my dad bought his rl there for a good price and there were no problems... i dunno.. i still dont trust them

ALWAYS pull a CARFAX REPORT autocheck sux , it doesnt show hardly anything you will find dealers using because of that fact. I deal with many dealers and I know the tricks of the trade. You are better off buying from an idividual than from a dealer, unless it is new from Nissan. I finance 1,500,000 each month about 70-100 cars a month take my advice , I have been financing cars for 9 yrs now. I bought from one of my dealers BUT I checked it with a fine tooth comb called previous owner and spoke with him ...it was all good.
