My computer is fully **** proofed. Full proof from worms and things that is, not proofed from ****...who would do that

What version of Nortons is your cousin running? if it is 9x or below, you may want to get a anti spyware program like Microsoft's Windows defender (http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...e/default.mspx) it's free. If he is running 10.x it is built in. There may be a dormant trojan on the machine that tries to launch every so often. run these and it shou;d find and delete it. OR, you may have been on another webpage that tried to launch it, the good thing is Nortons stopped it.

Don't know what version. clicked the norton smbol at the bottom of the screen, it goes to a norton 2006 premier options screen, so it seems new. I'll tell her about the pop up worm. I came to this site first after opening mozilla, didn't know if it was coming from here.

thx

Never been a big Norton fan, it's a total resource hog. I use McAfee and have never experienced the same cpu/RAM usage problems I did w/ Norton. You might want to give McAfee a try, I pay about $35 annually for it.

Tell you the truth the best thing you can do is install norton antivirus security client. It's a enterprise level antivirus app that just has the basics & leaves out all the bs... For a good ids app, I would suggest black ice. With these 2 applications plus counterspy installed you will be gold.
