You guys are taking all this way too seriously. It's people online. They can't hurt you by calling you noobs. Yes, it is mean and disrespectful, but it's not like you'll ever see them in person. You can always ignore them. Some people just need to lighten up with their sense of humor. Seriously, it's not that big of a deal. All of you are being way too sensitive about "but he said, but she said." This is not kindergarten. Grow up. Plus, searching really does help and if you still can't find the answer, THEN you can ask. It's really not that hard. I don't see why there had to be a thread like this, why a new "rule" was enforced, and why people are getting so upset. Just let it go. If people say **** to you, ignore. If they ask something stupid, ignore. What's so hard? Why all this fake niceness, tension, new rules, and useless threads? Please guys. Let's just go back to way things were with just a little touch of how it is now. Sorry if I sounded like a d1ck, but I'm really just confused as to why all this had to even happen.

NOBODY said you have to be nice. And the rule is NOT new. I tend to think that this uproar and recent rules enforcement is to curb the UNREASONABLE bashing of ALL "noobs." Other than that, the board should be carrying on "back to the way things were."

trust me when i say this. This is nothing compared to Honda-Tech.

At H-T, people are too quick to jump onto the band wagon and would go on a non-stop flaming war. Here is a prime example of what I'm talking about...

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1667706&page=1

there are literally 500+ threads like this.

That's good and fine for them, but this board is catered to and geared toward a different type of [more mature] auto enthusiast (primarily the 350Z automobile, in this case). I'm a member of another board that is seemingly more ruthless than H-T, but that other board has no real agenda though, so it is to be expected.

Personally, I find the flaming entertaining. It may not be very nice, but when I pull my chair up to my micro-processor I want to be entertained as well as educated (okay I'm a fan of Simon Cowell). I believe there is no such thing as a dumb question. If one has the guts to ask, I have the guts to answer. Regardless of the subject or situation.

Those dishing out the flames probably yell at their wife/gf (if they even have one), slap their kids and kick the dog. They appear to be angry MF's looking for an avenue to channel it. It's okay though because I'm entertained. I'm not sure they are as mean as they sound.

....ones character is not measured by the number of posts. The number of insults may be a better guide.

Agreed to a point --The only thing that bothers me bout the flaming is when it gets to the point of hurting someones feelings that is just trying to learn

I beat my wife if she doesn't have my hotpocket and beer ready when I get home. But isn't that just standard operating procedure in most homes?

Maid? Why would I pay someone to do stuff like that? That's why I got married.
