Another benefit to upgrading the forum... you guys would LOVE this feature:

When you make a new thread, as soon as you type in the title, a window pops up and says "Here are similar threads we found.... Please take a look at those threads before starting a new one" and it lists other threads which have the same or similar title!!!!!!!!!

Imagine, Noob2008350Z is about to ask "How much horsepower will my new AEM intake make on my 350Z, LOL?", and this feature will pop up all the other noob threads about the AEM intake horsepower gains, so that he can read those instead of polluting our forum with redundant, useless threads!

In addition, you wouldn't have the cry baby threads about how the older members pick on the noobs because they were so mean: "I posted an honest question about my new AEM intake, and Hrae was a complete dick and said he wanted to skull **** me "


This and the multiquote feature would be worth their weight in gold. And it will generate more interest in the future of the forum.

I'm down for a little down time to get some better posting features. I Would also like to see a more intelligent search feature.

 

There's many options we need.....KManZ suggested a good one, embed vids in all sections, better search, multiply quote button would cut down on numerous posts.......

this is a great idea. however i think you are giving noobs too much credit. they would see all those threads and still post new ones because the majority of noobie **** would be to lazy to search through all of them.

As with any web forum, you can't escape new members and their ignorance, eventually we will have a repost sneak through, but this feature and others will drastically cut back on a majority of the irritating, redundant threads.

How long would a forum upgrade take? I can survive a few days of down time for the addition of said features.
