Default NA Forum Section

I would like to see a section dedicated to NA builds, and cars that are all about bringing out the best in NA Z's. Things such as weight reduction, and NA tuning would be the topics of discussion as they are very important when you are trying to maximize performance of an NA Z. I just find my self searching this whole board for related topics and wouldnt mind seeing it all centralised. Im sure there are others who share my point of view, although the number is probably a bit smaller than the FI guys as its a much more hard core kind of enthusiast (IMO) to be an NA Z person. I would love a specific place for us to share all of the little tips and tricks that we have to get every last ounce of power out of our NA cars. I.E. Heat reflectant tape, catch cans, weight reduction of all kinds, gearing, etc.. Let me know how you guys feel about this?

Not really, its cluttered as hell, take a look and tell me how much is just Intake or exhaust questions, and how much is detailed information. I rarely see posts that are actually informative and new. And I tend to have to wade through all of that engine and drivetrain general posting to find it. Maybe its just me though?

I agree with rbfd, Maybe there should be sections for tuning methods(Turbo, SC, NA, NOS) this would centralize and make things a little easier to find instead of posting and getting told to use the search option.

I am with ya guys also. There needs to be a section. Yea the intake and Exhaust can be "considered" but not when there are questions concerning will it fit, how much HP will I get and can I install this here or there?

There seems to be a lot of NA potential and I would hate to have some of these build get lost in the shuffle of BS threads.

This topic has been brought up before. If I recall correctly, the reason why the NA forum was never added was because most of the forum is basically for the NA applications. I wouldn't mind having a more centralized forum that is more NA oriented, though.

I would love to see an NA Forum, too. There are several of us NA people that always seem to eventually find the same, interesting NA threads. It would be nice to have one NA forum to post in.

I currently use the Engine and Drivetrain forum for NA posts.

The downside to a separate NA forum would be that a lot of the people on my350 would never look in an NA forum, while they do look in the Engine & Drivetrain forum... probably less exposure in a separate NA forum.

I think it's a good idea, but should be limited to N/A builds, rather then small bolt on projects. Certain things like weight reduction apply to all applications, not just N/A

My view was a forum that focused on maximizing the NA tuning of our cars, with focus on anything that brings out the best and maximizes the potential of NA tuning. My view is in no way perfect, just what I would idealy like to see, but I would be super excited over just a seperate space for NA builds/tuning. IMO I dont care if everyone looks in the NA forum, not everyone looks in the FI forum, hell I didnt until recently. It would just be a resource to those of us who are looking to push the envelope of the Z with out replacing efficiency with power (FI).

I think an NA section would be great, Everywhere else including the Engine and Drivetrain section is full of stupid no0bs. At least with a NA forum, there would be useful knowlagable information. Just my .02

What would be required to actually get this forum section put up? Can any mods chime in as to what we would need to show interest or purpose? Id really like to see this up ASAP!

Make an appeal to the admins and convince them.

Could you possibly PM me the appeal process that I would have to go through and who I would need to convince?

How do you differentiate what belows in the "NA Forum" and what belongs in the "Engine & Drivetrain" Section?

Edited for punctuation.

There is no formal "appeal process." Just PM some of the admins linking them to this thread and explain why you think it would be a beneficial addition. Just be sure to get your point across and I'm sure they'll consider. Again, this isn't the first time this was brought up (albeit the last time was a while back). And with the advances in NA build ups, I'm sure they'll consider it with much more thought this time.
